A number of factors derailed our spring and summer plans, but now that fall is well upon us, things are settling down and hopefully you will soon be able to poke about in the DKAB Custom site!
The v1.0 production RPG-7 is nearing the start of it's limited run, 40mm pistol prototypes are in progress and nearing testing stages along with other unusual projects.
More soon (hopefully!)

Site update
We have been whipping the blog here into shape and working on a proper site for DKAB Customs. The new look is a darker toned, sort of "Warhammer 40k" feel with other visual elements as well. We will keep the same look on the main site more than likely. Let us know what you think!

Mini Mines for airsoft are in production
Hey all, we have been busy. Our mini mine is now in production and the first batch should be available soon. Here is the post, copied over from our Roadcrew Review site (roadcrew review site).
Here is the original post:
It was a beautiful day out, warm and sunny and the snow is finally less than three feet deep, so we hauled the mines out for some longer range testing along with the tape measures. Here's the quick skinny:
The mini mine - This little CQB oriented mine is throwing a decent handful of bbs out to about a 25 foot effective range. (About 20 bbs, .12gram). The maximum we found a bb was out at 53 feet. The mass of shot was still knee high at 25 feet and could be felt through heavy pants.
The ... other mine, codename "radio" - This mine is throwing .12gram bbs mixed with .20 bbs out to 88 feet max, with the cluster of bbs mostly hitting out to about 80 feet. The mine has an effective range of about 65 to 70 feet and a spread at that distance of about 20 feet. We loaded this one with about 50 bbs on each shot and fired over clean snow so it was fairly easy to find the hit locations.
All in all... they are operating right about where we designed them to run, and are testing well. If you would like one, the mini cqb mines are available, just click the "for sale" tab on the upper bar! Help fund the Roadcrew's horrible ideas! Er... bb fund...
End of original post.
Here is a link to the page over there to order them too:

RPG 7 airsoft grenade launcher prototype done
We have completed our prototype RPG 7 airsoft grenade launcher and are just waiting for eVike/UPS to bring us more green gas to try it out! These units should be available within a month to a month and a half and have an expected street price point around 400 dollars US.
Our current prototype isn't as pretty as we would like, having been modified a couple times and beaten severely in stress testing, so no pics for the time being. But hey, it's an RPG 7... they all look pretty much the same. And for those who may not know, an airsoft grenade launcher is actually more like a very large bore shotgun. The grenade shell fires a cloud of airsoft bbs instead of a single projectile (unless it is loaded with a foam ball instead of bbs, which can be done).

Welcome to DKAB Customs
Hello all, Angel here.
As some may know, we run the Roadcrew Review airsoft review blog here on blogger, and you may have seen a few of our posts over there on building new items for airsoft. Well, those don't really fit in to a review site very well, do they? So that has led us to talk about starting a shop notes blog on what we are working on. And here it is.
DKAB Customs.
What does DKAB stand for? Don't Know Any Better. As in why we do some of the things we do...
There you have it, in a nut shell. A lot of our projects are reasonably simple on the surface, but as you start getting deeper into it you start to see that, yes indeed, we just don't know any better!
So let's get to it.
